A number of programs and applications combined in the LUKOIL ‘’Fuel Quality Management’’ Program indicates high level of LUKOIL awareness and responsibility towards end consumers. LUKOIL’s goal is to deliver highest quality fuel products to end consumers by carefully controlling all stages of the fuel supply and delivery chain from the refinery to the fuel tank.
As a result of a successful implementation of the LUKOIL ‘’Fuel Quality Management’’ Program, LUKOIL fuel quality is highly appreciated by car manufacturers and by thousands of vehicle owners in Turkey.
All fuels distributed throughout our network comply with the Turkish Standards and is exposed to the below listed 4-step Quality Assurance Program targeting delivery of the highest quality fuels to the Turkish consumer:
FUEL PRODUCT TESTING ASSURANCE
LUKOIL uses accredited laboratories for product testing on all stages of fuel delivery starting from refinery to fuel tank. With such strict procedures it is impossible to produce non-compliant fuel.
Within the framework of the ‘’Fuel Quality Management’’ Program, LUKOIL Quality Control Teams perform periodic tests on LUKOIL Stations, collect fuel samples and control overall fuel quality by using LUKOIL Mobile Laboratories. Such tests ensure that fuel samples taken from the reservoirs on the stations comply with the LUKOIL standards and quality.
HIGH QUALITY ADDITIVE ASSURANCE
One of the most important factors affecting the fuel quality is the quality of the additives used. These additives are chemicals the certain amount of which is being added to fuel in order to attribute additional qualities to the fuel.
LUKOIL is paying highest attention to the usage and the quality of those additives in all types of fuels and uses the highest quality additives available on the global market. Before being offered to end consumers, LUKOIL fuels are being enriched by the highest quality additives.
UNDERGROUND RESERVOIR CLEANLINESS ASSURANCE
All underground reservoirs used for storage of the LUKOIL fuels are being cleaned by the newest and the most modern cleaning technology by means of special equipment.
These pieces of equipment ensures reservoirs cleanliness in the most efficient way and provide maximum assurance and prevent such negative changes of the fuel quality that can happen even in the ideal reservoir environment as gelation, sediments and invisible entities, it helps to clean tank without damaging fuel and putting reservoir on hold.
This actions ensures that the high quality LUKOIL Fuels reach fuel pumps clean. LUKOIL Reservoir Cleaning Vehicle visits each station at least once a year. Also, waste, collecting in the waste collecting reservoirs is also being collected and destroyed to protect the environment.
QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ASSURANCE
All terminals of LUKOIL Group in Turkey hold ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certificate; ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Certificate and ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System Certificate. In order to protect the quality of the LUKOIL products, Company is taking all necessary steps and actions and controlling this by the related Quality Management System. Our terminals are being inspected by the independent inspectors each year. All of the mentioned actions provide the sustainability of our product quality.
