Starting from the year 1998 Lukoil, which has been active on Turkish market since 1998, has obtained a Distribution License in 2006 and successfully entered Turkish retail market. In order to strengthen its position among distribution companies, present on the Turkish retail market, Lukoil has acquired local Akpet company in 2008. At the moment Lukoil and its affiliate company Akpet with more than 600 stations Turkey wide, is one of the biggest distributors, operating in Turkey.

As a result of a strategic development, Lukoil, who acquired Akpet company in 2008 and rapidly expanded its assets to build fully accessible nationwide station network and built strong logistic platform, is continuing to grow its presence by opening new stations on main connection roads and in urban and industrial centers. Company operations are the part of this growing strategy.

Besides classic investment concept, Lukoil is evaluating each dealership on the basis of location, dealer and customer expectations by applying modern and competitive investment models.
